Rob Hill, manager at Rustington Golf Centre, a multi-purpose venue in Angmering that includes a nine-hole golf course, made the decision to purchase its new electric fleet through distributor Reesink e-Vehicles.
As soon as I saw the Sirius golf buggy, I was impressed. We knew straight away they’d be a draw to the centre, that people would see them and want to use them. With the alloy wheels and premium seats, they just look luxury.
Rob’s prediction proved to be right. He says, “since the buggies were delivered we’ve seen a considerable rise in the number of buggy rentals already. We even have members taking them out on the course, which they rarely did before.”
The Sirius 2 Pro takes the concept of a golf buggy and elevates it to the next level with a storage bonnet, drainable cooler, console with cupholders, adjustable backrests, LED headlights and brake lights, and two speed settings. Setting the Sirius apart is its extensive list of upgrades which includes custom paints, a colour matched canopy as well as the premium seats and alloy wheels that caught Rob’s attention.

But it’s not just the luxury look of the Sirius that stood out to Rob and his team. Its lithium-ion battery, standard across all STAR EV Capella and Sirius vehicles, falls in line with the centre’s new ethos and commitment to electric over diesel.
While the centre may be new to STAR, it’s certainly not new to Reesink. Rob says: “Reesink is our go-to machinery supplier, we’ve always been impressed with the backup you get. As soon as I saw it did buggies too I reached out to get a demo machine down here – it was with us the next day.”
