I am thrilled to be a finalist. It’s a significant achievement for me. Becoming a finalist was a goal I set after learning about the awards through research and mentors. I work with a full Toro fleet, and The Grove has a close relationship with Reesink, so it felt like a natural choice for me to apply and see where it would go.

Our head greenkeeper, Sam Reid, sent me an email with an application to the student awards, saying he was happy to endorse my application. I applied and managed to secure an interview. I was nervous during the interview but tried to calm my nerves and answered everything confidently. When Bigga called me the same week to say I made it as a finalist, it was a dream come true.
